Nikol & Ayush | Lord Nelson Hotel, Halifax

I’ve always held the belief that photographs only become more meaningful with time, so I suppose I don’t need to feel behind in sharing Ayush and Nikol’s wedding 8 months later. I’ve loved circling back to these sweet memories. Nikol has been a dear friend for a decade, and it is special to feel so connected to these photographs because that day I was whole-heartedly celebrating the love of people I love - camera in one hand, champaign in the other. (Multi-tasking at its finest people.) Between their traditional Ukranian wedding, Indian Ceremony the night before, and the dance party that closed it all out, the joy and beauty was ceaseless. It was the kind of weekend where friendship, nostalgia, milestones, and hopes for the future all collide and leaves you thinking, “this is just what life is about”. At least, that was my perspective, and I hope it shines through in this handful of favourite images. Love you longtime, Nikol & Ayush.
